I came to God through the blood of Jesus Christ just before my eleventh birthday. Over the next few years God made Himself real to me in ways I still do not fully comprehend. Jesus was the strength and anchor for my soul that sustained me through performing CPR on my father at the age of sixteen, through multiple surgeries and illnesses, through disappointments of all kinds, and He still sustains me today.

I have come to realize that I am the warrior, I am the battlefield, and I am the prize that God and Satan, heaven and hell fight for. There truly is a spiritual battle that rages not only in the unseen realms around us, but in us, through us, and for us. Is it any wonder that we feel torn and battered — heads swimming with the undeniable impact of the lies that this world, our flesh, and Satan direct against us daily? In the midst of this battle, I have found it to be true that the only sure fortress for our souls is Jesus Christ.

This is a collection of songs that have ministered to me over the years. I am more sure than ever that God is faithful, God is love, He is true to His word, and He will never leave or forsake His children. I pray anyone who hears these lyrics will find comfort in their message as I have.
