Peppe Huss came all the way from Sweden to be at my 3rd Annual Homecoming Concert and stay with us a while...
We had the opportunity to take him to meet Donna Douglas (Ellie Mae), from "The Beverly Hillbillies".
We had to show him an episode before we left the house...
He didn't warn me he was taking pictures up my nose...
Dad took Peppe by to see the Tyler Fire Department where he's the District Chief.
Taking in the view at Love's Lookout...
Eating at The Shed in Edom, Texas...
A brownie with fudge, nuts, whipped cream, caramel, ice cream, and a cherry on top was a little too much for me...
The pickin' n' grinnin' was great entertainment and this guy preached a little sermon!
We couldn't help but get Peppe some stereotypical Texan items to dress up in...
Don't look him in the eye or he'll draw!
I said, "Don't look!"
Walking down the driveway teaching him how to walk like a Texan...
with a little bit of levity involved...
He wanted a piece of straw to chew on, so I found one about seven foot long...
He chewed it down to normal size though.
Long, tall/winded Texan...
Paying respect to the dead...
armadillo.
The Hubbard Family was good enough to come over to meet Peppe and do some awesome pickin'...
while Peppe did the grinnin'...
Lorianne picked the mandolin and Jerry handled the bass...
Jeri Lynn couldn't bring her drums, so she played the "box"...
Nobody can play it like Emmylou.
yikes
My Aunt Linda's spoiled dog, Knight.
Jeri Lynn and my cousin, Morgan hamming it up for the camera.
Who knew that Peppe could play the guitar too???
He shocked us all with a stirring rendition of "Because He Lives" in Swedish!
Mother Hubbard, Debbie is so smooth with the strings and the vocals.
Didn't know a box could sound so good.
Mom and I just enjoying...
When Peppe came to the house he looked like this...
Then after all the food and fellowship, Mom used some special tweaking, to predict the end product.
Ok, so some friends in Louisiana talked him into this. We had nothing to do with it. Rest in pieces, Peppe...
The time to go home came all too soon for us...
So long, partner.
