First Annual Homecoming Concert @ New Faith Church
This sign is how you know you have arrived in downtown Sacul, Texas.
Belinda Stutzman on the way to the soundcheck and looking at one of the 750 flyers that were printed for the concert.
I say again that I didn't tell the owner that it was her birthday, but it was still hilarious!!!
Please take it away now...
This is the one moment of the night that my mouth was not moving.
We went and ate at Little Mexico with some of the artist on Friday night. I think Belinda and MaKayla are hooked.
My Aunt Sheila (Ana), Aunt Linda, and Pastor Bud Rogers visiting at our house.
Wess and Susan Adams in our living room during the first advisory board meeting.
Yeah, they're still talking...
Belinda and my cousin Morgan had a blast.
It's easy to see why the Stutzman girl are pretty when you look at their Mama.
Our cat Sassy, displayed the feelings after all the hours of preparation pretty well.
We're on the way to eat and are happy beyond belief.
Eating at 7th Street in Cushing, Texas.
Every time, I was just a second too early to catch that big smile. Keeping looking at pictures to find the one that I caught...
It was not a boring wait for the birthday girls with David and Samara Gehrels there to entertain.
Surprise!!!
Ok...who is this for???
My 'little girlfriend' was there to greet my Mom. Samara is so sweet.
Thank you all for coming out and helping make their birthday special!
Mom was still in shock while talking to Pastor Carroll 'Uncle' Pennell from the great state of Maine. Ben was keeping them in line.
It was a great time to sit a talk a while before going back to work on soundchecks before the big night.
I am not even sure which ones I got them cause I couldn't wrap them at home. Thanks to my aunts for keeping the secret.
When you get a bunch of singers together, you end up with a lot of talking, eating, and laughing.
They were totally flabbergasted! That's what I was going for.
Getting ready to open presents.
Glad to see the smiles.
The day of the concert was MaKayla's birthday and so we surprised her with a party. My Mom and Leona (Ben's grandmother) are both leap year babies as well so we had a big party for everyone. It was great to finally get something over on Mom.
This is one of the presents I got Mom for her 11th birthday (leap year baby). It is all the words of Jesus from the Gospel of John that has been written and shaded to create this beauitful image of Christ in prayer.
It is so hard to get good help these days.
Belinda adjusting the sound...
Sounding great...
Family harmony...heavenly...
MaKayla, Heather, and Belinda. Nope, this isn't the one I got MaKayla to smile...
This is what we used for a piano player...what else can I say? Really, Jordan did an excellent job, but don't tell him I said so.
Can you tell who is paying too much attention to the camera?
Professionals At Work
Careful on the edge of the stage!
Catching our breath before the action...
Wess Adams in his natural habitat.
Here's the social studies major who is going to take all those classes and still end up singing.
"Everyone, Everywhere, Everytime"
Pastor Bud Rogers is a friend of ours that came all the way from Missouri to join us. He even braved flying to be with us! We are so glad he came.
Ben put it on the top shelf!
Jordan was so kind as to let Ben sing with him and Ben was so kind as to sing with Jordan.
"Going Home"
"It Is Well With My Soul"
The Holy Spirit was so strong in the place that night!
"The First Ones Covered By The Blood"
How sweet it is...
The man who needs no introduction...
When you are professionals you can only practice three times and get away with it.
Don't steal it away now...
The "Throwtogethers" singing, "I've Never Been Sorry". Jordan was on the keys, Ben on the lead, and Jim on the baritone. Why am I always stuck on tenor???
Why do I always get stuck singing tenor in quartets???
We gave away over $250 worth of stuff!
Giveaways!
Two snazzy ladies.
If Allison could see her now! (That's for all my Stamps-Baxter friends)
"We Are God's Church"
The Stutzman Family singing their Singing News charting song, "Sing, Sing, Sing".
Sixteen, going on twenty-one.
Did he hear me cry out to him...
Did she hear me whisper to her...
The world around me is so loud...
She's one talented girl if she can harmonize with me like that.
Belinda and I doing our brand new duet, "Did He Hear My Cry?"
You've heard of the Three Tenors? Well, here's Mr. Jordan James, the fourth tenor.
He's now to be known as the hairy, bass singer.
Amazing Grace was just a song, until it happened to me.
"I've Got Him"
Ben and Jim Waites blessed us with the timeless song, "I Can't Even Walk". What a wonderful surprise!
I'd rather be in a deep, dark grave and know that my poor soul was saved...
Than to live in this world in a house of gold and deny my God and lose my soul!
Their harmony is tighter than leather pants.
Singing to the audience.
Only the artist that were at rehearsals will get this, but this is Jordan and Wess trying to remember 'swift fellowships of friends on the wall'.
Ben is quite a snazzy dresser. Red and black just look awesome together, don't they?
Reaching for the low note.
It's time for the high note now.
Having some fun on "Jesus Will Pick You Up".
Leading the congregation in a hymn of praise.
The Holy Spirit was so sweet in the place that night.
Giving the invitation to the audience. Thank God for the changed lives!
Enjoying the low part.
Telling the story of "The Son Of A Carpenter".
Ryan Stutzman is a great guy who knows how to praise the Lord with the congregation. What an awesome family he has.
"This Country Stands"
Belinda is getting into the song and worship.
Freedom's bell still rings...
The eagle's still taking wing!
"The Sun's Coming Up In The Morning"
"How Sweet It Is"
Photo!!!
Belinda caught a fly in midair!
Belinda and Ryan Stutzman
MaKayla and Heather Stutzman
The girls are bring it home...
Ben won over people's hearts with his joyful spirit.
I love the shaped note singing! Where's my hymnal?
Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do...
We have a hope!
"Land Of No Time"
Heather played 'Amazing Grace' as the audience worshiped with us.
"One Day"
Everyone had a part in the closing song and did very well considering that we didn't have much time to iron out the details.
So many times we gather and a happy time is had by one and all...
But too soon the circles broken by the swift hands of the clock on the wall...
It's so sad to see it coming to an end.
But one day we'll reach a place where the sweet communion never has to end!
Can't wait for the great forever, O what a place...
